You can spend months planning a menu.
Choosing the dishes. Discussing the prices. Thinking about what people might enjoy.
But there's one thing you can't fully predict.
What happens when actual customers show up.
That was one of the most interesting parts of launching Get Metis near ITC Kohenur in Hyderabad.
We had our ideas.
And then Hyderabad started placing orders.
The Numbers That Surprised Us
During our first 10 days after launch, Get Metis sold:
1,000 rice bowls
More than 1,200 wraps
For a newly launched food truck, seeing people try the menu was encouraging.
But the numbers only told us part of the story.
The customer conversations told us much more.
Some People Found Us Completely by Accident
One customer told us they were originally planning to explore the food street.
They noticed our pink truck near the ITC Kohenur parking area, stopped by and decided to try a few items.
Sometimes that's how people discover a new place.
Not through an advertisement.
Not because they planned their entire evening around it.
They simply see something interesting and decide to give it a chance.
For us, that was a reminder of how much the actual food truck experience matters.
First Impressions Aren't Always Positive
Another customer shared that they were initially skeptical.
That's fair.
When you're trying a new food brand, you don't know what to expect.
Will the food be good?
Will ordering be easy?
Will the experience match what you've seen online?
In this customer's case, the experience turned out to be smoother than expected.
Feedback like this matters because trust isn't something we can announce in an Instagram caption.
People decide whether they trust a brand through their own experiences.
Our Youngest Customers Have Opinions Too
One of our younger visitors tried the Nutty Banana Smoothie and Chicken Rice Bowl.
He enjoyed them so much that he said he couldn't stop eating.
And really, that's the kind of feedback that's difficult to overcomplicate.
He liked the food.
He wanted more.
The experience also got us thinking about how we could introduce more options for younger customers in the future.
What Did We Learn From Our First 10 Days?
Three things stood out.
1. People Appreciate Having Choices
Some customers want a filling rice bowl.
Others prefer a wrap or smoothie.
Our menu includes rice bowls, wraps, smoothies and protein bowls, giving people options based on their appetite and preferences.
Among our customer favourites are:
Peri Peri Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl
Chicken Shawarma Rice Bowl
Spicy Soya Keema Wrap
Nutty Banana Smoothie
2. A Good First Experience Matters
A new brand doesn't have years of familiarity to rely on.
Each order helps shape what someone thinks of us.
That's why quality, hygiene, taste and convenience remain central to what we're building at Get Metis.
Because customers shouldn't have to compromise on these things just because they're choosing fast food.
3. Feedback Should Influence What Happens Next
Customers have already shared suggestions about menu variety and new items.
We're taking those conversations seriously as we develop our offerings.
After all, there's a difference between creating a menu we think people will enjoy and building one around what customers actually want.
And we're learning that difference every day.
What's Next for Get Metis?

But Get Metis is being built as more than a single food truck.
We're working towards a network of fixed-location food trucks connected through one unified app.
The idea is to make healthier fast food more accessible, convenient and easier on the pocket.

Ten Days Were Only the Beginning
The first 10 days gave us a useful starting point.
But they didn't tell us everything.
We're still learning which dishes people return for, what they'd like us to improve and how to make ordering more convenient.
That's the interesting thing about building a food brand.
The menu might begin with our ideas.
But what it becomes depends just as much on the people eating from it.
1,000 rice bowls. 1,200+ wraps. And a lot more to learn.
We're just getting started.
